Starting the week off with an excellent recipe...is always good. Monday recipe..
Healthy oatmeal cookies..
Oatmeal Apple cookies with dark chocolate chips

The recipe is from Weight Watchers, but i added the dark chocolate chips. Mainly, because they sounded delicious and I had alot of extra chips.

Flour, brown sugar, apple..grated, egg, baking powder, oatmeal

After a lovely day of pasta and salad with my mama... we were feeling makeup savy.. so we decided to go into Sephora and ended up buying a fabulous primer...

I found a flyer the other day at the local... Spread Peace Cafe... and it was to volunteer for cleaning up our beautiful truckee river! So of course I jumped right on that! I got 11 others to sign up as well! The trick now is getting them to stick with it! Let's cross our fingers :)

Today at the Nevada museum of art...I came across this Musical Instruments piece by Picasso. My roomate was so set on the thought that this wasn't an original... She thought there should be body gards and a glass covering..so on our way out we asked the wonderful lady at the front if it was an origional..and she said..YES! we were amazed!

This piece by Yang Yongliang took my roomates and I breathe away! This picture seems like nothing but up close it's ineffable! He captures China's society turning for worst. to a T!

You guys have to check this museum out...not just because this city is my new home but because there are some amazing artists in this museum...

A little bit of everything summer salad

Summer is coming to an end... so summer food is as well...I thought to end the summer meals...I would end it with an appetizing nutritious summer salad...all from my very own garden :)

Arugula, tomato, broccoli, edamame, black beans, fresh rosemary and basil, and grilled onions.
